The revival of the Dakota nameplate is just one of the new offerings heading to Ram showrooms.

On Thursday, during its investor event, Stellantis outlined its recovery strategy that includes Ram debuting the midsize Dakota. This revived nameplate will hit showrooms alongside a compact pickup called Rampage and the full-size SUV Ramcharger. Additionally, there will be an entire lineup of performance street trucks.

The Rampage was globally unveiled in 2025 featuring a four-cylinder engine and a design akin to the full-size 1500. It is expected to enter the U.S. market by 2030 among nine vehicles that will be priced under $40,000 in Stellantis dealerships.

The comeback of the Dakota nameplate as a midsize truck has been confirmed for a long time. The truck was presented to dealers and prompted reactions such as, “Toyota better be cautious—we’re going to start competing with them regarding the Tacoma. That speaks volumes.” Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis mentioned to The Drive in February that the Dakota must be a “genuine truck” and be priced under $40,000. Stellantis also stated that the Dakota will be the “most powerful” midsize truck available.

Ram has also reaffirmed plans for a full-size three-row SUV and confirmed what Kuniskis referred to in February as a “fairly obvious guess” that it will be named Ramcharger.

According to Stellantis, all three of these new Rams will be launched by 2030; however, the production location for the Rampage sold in America remains uncertain.

Kuniskis stated that the complete lineup will include performance street trucks. This initiative began on Wednesday with the resurrection of the Rumble Bee series featuring four trucks, including one powered by a Hellcat engine.

Stellantis insists that the extended-range electric Ram Rev, originally intended to be the Ramcharger before the electric Rev was shelved and never introduced, is still on track. The timeline remains unclear, but all of this is set to unfold by 2030 in an effort to boost sales volume.
