The powertrain is driven by the same 6.4-liter Hemi V8 found in various SRT models, delivering 485 horsepower, identical to those latest-model Mopars. A Tremec TR4050 5-speed manual transmission comes standard, but an automatic option is also offered. Regardless of the chosen transmission, it connects to an Advance Adapters Atlas II transfer case, while braking is managed by Baer 6-piston calipers and 14-inch cross-drilled and slotted rotors.
As is expected with a restomod, the interior showcases upgraded materials (chosen for their resilience against the elements) and modern features such as Bluetooth, contemporary audio and climate control systems, extra sound deadening, and an electronic parking brake. Available themes include black, camel, and blue interiors, along with options for half or full hardtops replacing the traditional soft top. Importantly, Vigilante provides period-authentic graphics packages.
“The Vigilante Scrambler caters to those who find the Bronco too mainstream and the FJ too basic,” stated Vigilante founder Daniel van Doveren, referencing two other popular restomod options.
