Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing: The Most Potent Ultra-Rare F1 Series Variant

Cadillac is marking its debut in the Formula 1 World Championship this year with a new and extremely limited edition of the CT5-V Blackwing sport sedan. The new Blackwing F1 Collector Series will be restricted to only 26 vehicles, and these will be the most powerful V-Series models ever produced at the factory, boasting 685 horsepower—17 more than the standard supercharged V8 sport sedan—alongside an additional 14 pound-feet of torque.

“For over 20 years, the V-Series emblem has signified a higher level of design, performance, and technology linked to the purest display of passion that lies at the heart of the Cadillac brand,” Cadillac stated in its announcement.

“Like every CT5-V Blackwing, the F1 Collector Series is designed to provide the thrilling, track-ready performance that has established Cadillac V-Series as a standard in the luxury performance category,” Cadillac remarked.

The package itself celebrates millennial-favored monochromatic style. The wheels are coated in “Carbon Flash,” while the brakes are in “Harbor Gray.” The lower carbon fiber body parts are highlighted with a “Switchblade Silver” pinstripe, and the emblems are presented in gloss black. If you’re searching for something vibrant, this isn’t it.

And because this is the “F1” Collector Series, FIA branding is everywhere. The F1 logo is embossed on the doors, spoiler, rocker panels, sill plate, supercharger cover, seat upholstery, and center console trim. There’s also an FIA logo on the supercharger cover and center console.

The additional power is achieved through a pulley upgrade and slight supercharger displacement increase. The pulley ratio rose from 3.14 to 3.24, a GM representative informed us, and the air volume beneath the supercharger cover has increased by 2128cc.

Now for the key detail: the F1 Collector Series will come exclusively with a manual transmission. Impostors need not apply.

“The CT5-V Blackwing represents the pinnacle of Cadillac’s track-capable performance. With the F1 Collector Series, we’re harnessing the energy and innovation of Formula 1 into a road-ready sedan that feels just as unique as our entry into the sport,” said Mark Reuss, President of General Motors. “Each of the 26 cars is curated to be a highlight in any collection and a true tribute to Cadillac’s new era in Formula 1.”

The F1 Collector Series is set to launch in mid-2026, Cadillac confirmed. Pricing details have not been revealed.
