A transformative chapter at Ferrari is on the horizon as the establishment that Enzo created for racing prepares to launch its inaugural electric vehicle.
A prototype of the Ferrari Luce was recently seen navigating the streets of Maranello, still heavily adorned in camouflage. This raises the question of whether this EV will embrace nostalgic design elements or serve as a complete redesign to herald a new era.
The camouflage might be effective, but the low front profile seems to feature a line that wraps around and connects with the front fenders. There are some intriguing references to the Ferrari F40 on those fenders, although this may simply be a result of the camouflage. The headlights appear to be recessed and positioned low in the bumper beneath the LED daytime running lights. Additionally, the configuration in the front lower bumper for air intakes almost resembles a similar design as that of the F40. Am I imagining things or going mad?
The side silhouette is uncertain as the team has expertly utilized camouflage in this area. The front drops low, the side mirrors are sizable, and we can make out the outline of the four doors. However, the rear silhouette is entirely concealed. Are those circular LED taillights? The rear diffuser is prominent, and it’s unclear whether it’s functional or purely for aesthetics. The wheels are surely not production-ready, yet they suggest that the Luce will be equipped with sizable rims shod in wide tires.
