The Chrysler Pacifica minivan has maintained its current form for roughly ten years, receiving a notable update in 2021. Today, the American car maker has subtly introduced a new front design that replaces the classic open-mouth grille with a horizontal-bar, RoboCop-inspired slit appearance and elongated headlights. Whether additional significant alterations are forthcoming with this new front is still uncertain.
Stellantis, Chrysler’s parent company, has recently shared some images showcasing this new front-end on Instagram and Facebook, accompanied by a fleeting caption: “Some things refuse to remain hidden.”
As you can observe, the overall silhouette, shape, and rear section of the minivan appear unaltered, confirming that this is indeed a refresh and not a complete redesign.
There’s quite a bit happening (hexagonal grille elements, small accents to the side, visual design in daytime running lights, prominent radar cruise system positioned low) but it doesn’t come off poorly.
I suppose I have to concede that I am somewhat neutral regarding this new design. I don’t have a dislike for it. Yet, I also appreciated the previous version. Fortunately, we have an open comments section—what are your thoughts? Trendy or not?
