🪦 It’s official: Sony Honda Mobility has ceased the Afeela project following Honda’s own cancellation of its 0 Series EVs, as announced by the joint venture this Wednesday morning. The Afeela 1 electric sedan was intended to utilize a platform shared with the now-terminated EVs, so Honda’s change in plans effectively ended SHM too. This marks the conclusion of a saga for Sony that initiated back in 2020 when it first unveiled its Vision-S concept at CES, prior to Honda’s involvement. SHM will refund all reservation holders.
📹 Toyota is recalling nearly 145,000 Lexus models, including the NX250, NX350, RX350, and TX350, due to potential issues with rearview cameras that may fail to operate correctly in reverse. Dealers will provide the necessary software updates free of charge.
🎥 Ford is also recalling approximately 255,000 SUVs, including the Explorer and the Lincoln Aviator, Nautilus, and Navigator, due to irregular behavior in the image processing module, which may affect the backup camera as well as ADAS features. This issue should be resolved through an over-the-air update if owners are unable to take their vehicles in for service.
