Ford Bronco RTR Unveils Budget-Friendly Off-Road Enhancements Similar to the Raptor

I have a great appreciation for the Bronco Raptor. I genuinely think it’s the finest and most capable factory off-roader available for purchase. (I haven’t had the chance to drive a Land Rover Defender Octa, but until proven otherwise, I maintain my stance.) Nevertheless, I’m uncertain if I could ever commit to buying one due to its high price. Instead, if I were looking to purchase, I might consider a Ford like the Bronco RTR showcased here.

It’s quite clear that the Bronco RTR is not a substitute for the Raptor. It comes equipped with 33-inch tires as standard, but 35s are an option, available for any Bronco featuring the Sasquatch package. Opting for this upgrade unlocks the finest offerings of the RTR, such as the HOSS 3.0 suspension fitted with Fox internal bypass shocks and more robust tie rods. This setup was once exclusive to the Bronco Badlands, resembling what you’d find beneath a first-generation F-150 Raptor.

Along with the high-performance suspension, the Bronco RTR features anti-lag turbo technology that keeps the turbochargers primed across various off-road situations. The goal is to ensure enhanced throttle responsiveness when necessary—for instance, while navigating deep sand or ascending a steep incline as the rock beneath shifts. It’s controlled by software integrated into the system, eliminating the need for purchasing any flashable ECU upgrades.

Another significant upgrade is the 1,000-watt cooling fan, which has been taken from the Bronco Raptor.

Unveiling the New Ford Bronco RTR

Visually, the Bronco RTR boasts distinctive elements. It is finished in Avalanche Gray with Hyper Lime accents adorning various features, from the fender-mounted Trail Sights to the side decals and 17-inch beadlock rings. The lighting also sets it apart, featuring a grille illuminated by LEDs not found on other Broncos. After spending some time observing it, I believe I find it appealing.

Ford has not provided a specific MSRP for the RTR, but Bronco Brand Manager Haley Skiko indicated, “We’re offering Raptor-inspired high-speed capabilities at a lower starting price than Badlands Sasquatch.” A brief visit to Ford’s build and price calculator reveals that this model begins at $58,320 for a four-door version. Ultimately, while it is not inexpensive, it is significantly cheaper than the approximately $82,000 Bronco Raptor—and most of the ones I see on dealer lots are nearing six figures.

The Bronco RTR will be available for ordering starting October 2026.
