As highlighted by Sportscar, Chery is working on a five-year plan to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, while BYD is exploring opportunities in both Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship, including rumors of potentially taking over Alpine’s efforts in the latter and fielding its own hypercar. This would align well with BYD, known for the Yangwang U9 that boasts nearly 3,000 horsepower in its top Xtreme configuration.

If Great Faith makes it to the grid, it will face tough competition from Toyota and its traditionally-styled GR GT3—which will also utilize a 4.0-liter V8—along with established models like the Porsche 911 GT3 R and Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
