At last, I have some exciting news to share with you today! The reveal of this cookbook was initially slated for May, then June, and early July, but with all that’s transpired in the world, it didn’t seem appropriate, so I postponed it several times. I’m not certain it feels completely right now, but I’ve received numerous inquiries regarding the new book’s availability across various retailers online, so I realized I couldn’t wait any longer. I remain hopeful that this news will bring some joy to your day and a little bit of happiness. 🙂

If you haven’t figured it out yet, my latest cookbook, Oh She Glows for Dinner: Nourishing Plant-Based Meals To Keep You Glowing, is finally finished and it will be released in just a couple of months! It has been quite the adventure reaching this finish line (never in my wildest imagination did I think I’d be finalizing a cookbook during a pandemic and lockdown), but after three years devoted to this project, I’m absolutely excited to share all the delicious (pun intended) details about this new book. Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes from earlier this year when I was reviewing the book design!

<spanTransitioning from “behind-the-scenes” to “in-the-spotlight” is not the easiest for me (I’m much more of a behind-the-scenes person!), so this phase of “launching into the world” is quite a personal challenge for me, and let me tell you, the nerves I’m feeling right now are something else. I would be very content to keep working diligently in the background without ever having to promote myself. 😉 Do any of you feel the same way? Nevertheless, I’m always up for a good challenge, and reconnecting with all of you is the cherry on top of the vegan cake!

This book would not have been achievable without your encouragement, support, and patience throughout the entire process! Additionally, it wouldn’t have been possible without my small but mighty team, Nicole and Eric. They are my rocks, my sanity savers, my sources of occasional laughter, my sounding boards, and my reminders to stay caffeinated and breathe— the list goes on. I held this book in my hands for the first time just last week! I can’t describe how fast my heart was racing when I opened the box! It is always slightly terrifying yet exhilarating to unveil one of my books for the first time, and it never really gets any easier to send my heart and soul’s work out into the world. But I am incredibly proud of this book. Also, it marks my very first hardcover book!

About this book

Oh She Glows for Dinner reflects what you, my cherished readers, have requested the most over the years—more plant-based, crowd-pleasing dinner recipes!

Dinner is something that I believe many of us struggle with (I certainly have!), and adding “plant-based” to the mix can make it even more complicated. If you’ve ever found yourself uncertain about what to prepare for a vegan meal and ended up with toast or a bowl of cereal, you are definitely not alone. I felt compelled to create this cookbook to assist in solving the constant “what’s for [plant-based] dinner?” dilemma. As an added bonus, the recipes in this book also serve as incredible (and often portable) lunches! You’ll discover just the right, satisfying sides to complement your dish, meal-worthy salads for every season, hearty and nourishing soups and stews, and a treasure trove of flavour-packed sauces, dressings, parmesans, and pestos to elevate your dish even further. And of course, I included a delightful dessert/drink chapter because it wouldn’t be an Oh She Glows cookbook without some sweet, healthified delights! 😉

What you’ll find inside:

Dietary and Cooking Labels

Every recipe indicates whether it is nut-free, gluten-free, soy-free, grain-free, and/or oil-free, raw/no bake, or one pot. Out of the 106 vegan recipes in this cookbook, 101 are gluten-free or offer a gluten-free option, 90 are nut-free or include a nut-free option, and nearly all are soy-free. I also indicate whether the recipe is kid-friendly, freezer-friendly, and/or if any advance prep is necessary. My “on the glow” label lets you know if the recipe is portable. My aim was to include as much helpful information as possible for you (dare I say this is my most informative book yet?)…you know me, go big or go home…lol.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Almost all recipes in this cookbook also come with specific storage and reheating instructions tailored to each recipe. My recipe testers and I dedicated a great deal of time testing them to eliminate any guesswork!

Active Time and Total Time

Each recipe provides details on how much active time and total time it requires. Active time is the duration you are actively preparing food in the kitchen. Total time reflects the overall time from start to finish. If relevant, we also note Soak time and/or Chill time.

I’m thrilled to announce that I handled the food photography and styling for the recipes in this book – there are over 100 of my photos included inside!

Glow Getter Meal Plans 

This book features 4 meal prep plans! Each time-saving plan offers step-by-step guidance, enabling you to prepare or fully complete 3 dinner recipes within just 60 to 90 minutes. I knew it was crucial to create plans that genuinely fit into a busy lifestyle. I’ve tried plans in the past that required 2.5 to 3 hours each week, and they just weren’t feasible for me. These plans are quick (60 to 90 minutes at a brisk pace) and provide you with several hearty meals each week!

Menus To Get Your Glow On

I also share my tried-and-true menus for special events or themed evenings, such as Girls’ Night, Mother’s Day, Game Night, The Oh She Glows Cookbook Club Night, and more.
