Honestly, I believe a lot of people would have been satisfied with a TRX that maintained its previous power levels. What they truly desire is a Hellcat pickup that sits above the turbocharged six-cylinder RHO—a formidable performer itself, but it doesn’t compare to a V8. Ram elevated the game even further with a Baja runner that can reach 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds, en route to a top speed of 118 mph.

Typically, we don’t share quotes from executives regarding new automobiles, but the words of Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis encapsulate the rationale behind the brand’s decisions with the new TRX:

“We commenced 2025 with a straightforward rallying cry—three words and three letters: The Last Tenth and LFG. Our initial actions were clear: revive the iconic Hemi V8 and reignite the SRT Performance Division. So, who would genuinely wager against a TRX revival? However, resurrecting the name isn’t sufficient. Ram set the bar five years ago with 702 horsepower, and that benchmark has been challenged. SRT doesn’t just lower the bar; we raise it—and 721 wasn’t going to suffice. 777 horsepower? That’s the standard. It signifies more than just power—it represents an awakening and a new journey ahead.”

Ram claims it’s the most powerful street-legal, gas-powered half-ton ever produced from the factory. It also excels in torque, producing 680 lb-ft, which is 40 more than what the Blue Oval delivers. Ram is debuting the TRX with a unique truck called the Bloodshot Night Edition. While all the performance components remain unchanged, it features a distinctive paint scheme with Blacktop upper paint, a Flame Red hood stripe, splash graphics, a center-console badge encased in glass, and—a noteworthy addition—a TRX logo highlighted in red.
