The four-wheel drive truck retained its original manual transfer case, Dana 60 front axle, and Sterling 10.5-inch rear axle. The original ZF S6-650 six-speed manual transmission was preserved but now connects to the engine with a clutch and flywheel from Ford’s Triton 6.8-liter V10.
Ford launched the 7.3-liter Godzilla engine in the 2020 F-Series Super Duty, generating 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque in that setup. It remains uncertain which version is in Dorrick’s truck, but it would undoubtedly be a significant enhancement over the Triton engine, which produced around 255 hp and 350 lb-ft in its factory form. Ford later released a 6.8-liter Godzilla engine, as well as supercharged Megazilla crate engines delivering over 1,000 hp.
